I have vivid memories of watching Image of the Fendahl when it first came out in 1977 - in retrospect, the last really satisfactory story of Season 15 of Doctor Who, though as a ten-year-old I was generally forgiving. The Seventh Doctor, Chris and Roz end up in Paris all involved with the Dreyfus case and Ace. I'm afraid I thought this wore its historical research a bit too heavily, without compensating gains in characterisation or plot. Ah well; the next New Adventure on my list is Russell T Davies's Damaged Goods.

Another Eighth Doctor Adventure which involves the Fendahl, the Cthulhu mythos, and the future beings into which Time Lords will evolve, but which is less than the sum of its parts. I hope that this series picks up soon; I've been rather underwhelmed by the last few.
